I went deer hunting!

Here is my kill for the year! Poor bugger got hit by a car and ran into the woods a ways. Couldn't walk any further and needed to be put down. Thats where I came in, but as usual nothing goes as planned.

The 25 hour day

Last Saturday was a running day. I ran my arse all over the place and had a lot of fun doin' it. So after all was said and done it was a 25 hour day. I woke up at a little before 5 am. Got cleaned up and dressed;left the house by 5:30. Drove for two hours to Duluth and arrived an hour early for testing. I was there to test for the Duluth Police Department. Once I made my way into the building I realized a LOT of others were there to test too. 350 people applied and I am not sure how many were there to test, but it was a lot. So at about 10:30 I cleared Duluth and made the two hour trek back to Brainerd. Once in Brainerd a fellow copper picked me up and we drove out to Mille Lacs Lake. A group of about 25 guys (mostly cops) went out on a fishing launch and several got extremely intoxicated!! WOOOO HOOOOO. That was a lot of fun once the guides got on the fish. Sooo, after some anchor issues and a considerable amount of driving around we eventually made it back and got off the lake. It was probably about 7 pm by this time. Drive back to Brainerd and then I headed up to Merrifield and painted a set of flames on a 1952 Chevrolet. This whole procedure lasted about four hours, so now we have about 12:30 am. As I am taping up the flames I get re-invited to a little gathering in Foreston (West of Milaca). Sooo, leave Brainerd again and drive an hour south. Made it to Foreston around 2:00 am and it was game on. Partied it up until 6 am, woooohooooo again. After a 3 hour nap it was time to drive back to Brainerd, again. Needless to say I didn't feel all that well, but it was worth it. So looking back at it I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to fit everthing in, but I did and had a good time. So there you have my 25 hour day:)

Sunday was a pretty laid back day due to the recovery needed. Lindsey and I hung out at my Dad's place for few hours and then she took a nap. After waking up we took a walk to Caribou and enjoyed some smoothies. Yum!!! Walked around some more and then went shoppin at Walmart, which I hate, but it wasn't too bad. Got back home, read some books for bedtime and I did laundry and cleaned a bit. Got to bed and woke up for work Monday morning (right now).

So in closing, It was a great weekend, probably one of the funnest I have had in a long long time. So now it is Monday and I get to work a short day and then Goose and I make the drive to Minneapolis to see Marilyn Manson. WOOOO HOOOO again!

Been busy busy busy...

So since my return from the BWCA, I have been pretty busy between home life and work life. The day after my return from the woods I had some firearms training, which was a good time and usually is. Furthermore, Kyle and I had to go see GI Joe, which was pretty good. So now August is almost over and we move into the school year for Kyle and the fall is approaching. Another fun event was the COMO Zoo and Conservatory. Lindsey, Kyle and I took a day trip down there and had a great time. The kids loved the animals and they both really enjoyed the Koi fish in the conservatory. Afterwards we had a little snack picnic by the parking area and then headed back home. Both kids were really well behaved and I really enjoyed it. Thanks kiddo's.

September is going to be a pretty busy month for me. So, my schedule is as follows:
Sept. 12th:Duluth and a Bachelor fishing launch on Mille Lacs.
Sept. 14th:Marilyn Manson at the State Theater. (they changed the venue)
Sept. 17th-18th:Back to Duluth for Intox Re-cert.
Sept. 20th-25th:Down to the metro for a 5 day FTO certification.

That is whats goin on in my world for the next month so I won't get to see my kids much and I won't even be around much. :(

BWCA August 2009

Pictured here is the group that went to the Alder Lake trip. It was an absolute blast and I really enjoyed it. We had fair enough weather and the fishing wasn't too bad. Just a great group of folks and a great trip. Stay tuned for more stories and pictures.

How to get a free tattoo 101

Several days of painting walls and giving cool canvas art like this is how.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

Kyle and I went to Transformers 2 on Friday night. All I can say is everyone has to see this one. Crazy graphics and a decent plot. I was kinda surprised at the amount of foul language in it, but Kyle thought it was hilarious!

I asked for a 13, but they drew a 31!!!

Well some time has past and I have a few minutes to post up! Many things have happened since my last post and I am currently working on building a new future for me and my kids. With that out of the way I have passed a milestone in my life by adding a piece of art to my skin. I have wanted a tattoo for a long time, but never had the cash or could figure out what I wanted. I finally settled on a piece of art depicting the nastalgic Betty Page. I went under the needle for 2 hrs and 45 minutes. She got pretty raw towards the end, but overall it wasn't bad. I still am not finished with it and have to go back in when it heals. I am really looking forward to this. Well anyways, here it is.
